Preschool Davis Memorial offers preschool classes for 3 and 4 year olds regardless of their race or religious affiliation. Davis Memorial Christian Church Preschool believes that each child is an unique gift of God. Because of this uniqueness, each child brings to our school his or her special gifts. DMCC Preschool is committed to providing opportunities through a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that will enhance their readiness skills and encourage a positive self concept. Since 1979, DMCC Preschool has been licensed and continues to meet all the standards required by the State of Illinois. Three Year Old Classes Meet Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (September through May) Four Year Old Classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (September through May) During October, the four year olds will be visiting the fire station to enjoy the Ronald McDonald Safety Show. During "Western Days" the children will sing songs around a pretend campfire, make horseshoe biscuits, cheesy wagon wheels, and trail mix. They will also be observing fall that concludes with a visit to the Oller pumpkin farm. With Halloween approaching, we will find this a perfect time to learn about spiders and bats through songs, stories, and art. The three year olds will work with seeds as they roast pumpkin seeds and carve and explore a pumpkin. We will make homemade peanut butter.
